Description

A wonderful anomaly. I get really tired of listening to strictly beat-matched mixes myself. But creatively, tempo is a really strong factor in how I program. So to give myself the best of both I blended some wonderfully weird and beautiful no-wave, disco, new jazz, electro and jungle tunes without being to strict. True to it's spirit it's very accessible if somewhat moody and a little disconcerting.

The story

I usually fail miserably at trying to describe simply emotive creative impulses, but I guess this was my way of trying to capture my ambivalnce about winters in Minnesota. The inspiration came when I was home sick and decided to walk around a frozen lake and take some pictures. Great day. Repressively cold out though, my camera's battery lasted about for about 10 shots before it got sleepy and passed out.
